Benodet – This chic coastal resort lies at the mouth of the River O’det and has often been voted Brittany’s best resort for families. Famed for its harbour, pretty seaside walks and luxurious marina, it is here that you can enjoy the superb south-facing beach edged with cafes and restaurants. Boat trips to the Glenan Isles and Quimper are popular with Golf de l’Odet, kayaking and sailing school all nearby. There are live music events and fireworks during the summer months.
Concarneau – Choose to travel the coast or country route to the prettiest walled city in Brittany. The old port is like a scene from Diagon Alley in Harry Potter as you discover the secret street within the ancient walled fortification with its small craft shops, chocolate shop and creperies.
Pointe de la Torche – Surfer’s paradise with its dramatic waves and huge sandy beaches. Surf school, body-boarding, kite surfing area all found here. A great place to fly a kite or take a refreshing stroll.
Quimper – Stretching along the banks of the River Odet, this medieval city is a must visit and makes for a wonderful day out. Take time to walk around the handsome Gothic cathedral, explore the cobbled streets lined with a host of shops, cafes and restaurants.
Pont-Aven – A charming town used for centuries as a summer retreat for artists such as Monet and Gourgin. A beautiful place with many small galleries dotted along the fast-flowing river and well-marked wooded walks adjacent to the town centre.
Glenan Isles – The Glenan Archipelago is a chain of small islands with beautiful fine sandy beaches and clear waters. Day trips to these exotic islands can be organised in Benodet harbour.
Carnac – The town is world-famous for its impressive rows of ancient standing stones stretching for over two miles. This summer resort is divided between the old town and the sheltered beaches.
